Report
December 21, 2003
Winter Solstice Potluck
The Fahs Room was filled to capacity for this first joint
HAGSA/AOF Winter Solstice Potluck.
The food was excellent, as was the entertainment, provided by Mynga Futrell, on the piano, Cleo Kocol and
Anatole Lubovich, reading their own poetry, and Paul Geisert, singing the
1997 song,
The World of Richard Dawkins, by Jerry Phillips, to the tune of "God
Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." For copyright reasons, we are unable to
reproduce the song here. However, you can see the full text by clicking on
the song's title, above.
Prior to the start of festivities, we dealt with some
HAGSA business. Phil LaZier provided the bylaw-mandated status of his
activities as Nominating Committee Chairman for the upcoming Board
election in February. He reminded members that they may provide him with
their own nomination petitions by December 31, subject to the requirement
that they be signed by at least two members in good standing.
Report prepared by Bill Potts, President
Here are the photographs of some of the HAGSA and AOF
