Bill Potts
moderated a free-wheeling discussion of the state of affairs in the
present-day United States and the world. The panelists brought with them a variety of
well-thought-out perspectives, dealing with economic, political, social,
electoral and other aspects. The panel identified some of the many ways
in which the system is, in fact, broken. Solutions were implicit in much of
the discussion, even though their appearance, in the short term, seems very
unlikely.
The
seriousness of the topic didn't detract from its enjoyability, as
evidenced by the enthusiastic applause at the end.
The panelists
were Leon Lefson, Wayne Luney, Margo Gunnarsen, Ted Webb, and Joy Fisher.
