Meeting Report

Thirty people, including HAGSA members, AOF members, and guests, enjoyed the first ever HAGSA/AOF HumanLight event, which included the usual potluck fare (well, not quite usual, as the dishes were more than usually excellent).

The event was held at the Common House of the Southside Park Cohousing Community. Don Knutson, president of AOF and a member of that community, was host of the event, which was officially launched with the lighting of two HumanLight candles, one by Don and one by his HAGSA counterpart, Bill Potts.

The program included singing by Mynga Futrell and Paul Geisert, a reading by Joy Fisher, a skit (Listen Up) by Cleo Kocol, poetry reading by Elizabeth Bernstein, and an impromptu performance by Paul Storey and Andrea (one of our guests), who sang very amusing freethought versions of several Christmas carols. The cast of Listen Up consisted of Don Knutson (Commentator), Bill Potts (God), Cleo Kocol (Mary), and Jerry Sloan (Pastor O'Holy).
